Paul Bardinet´s
Genius
It all began in 1857. A young distiller from Limoges,
Paul Bardinet, took an interest in the sugar cane
alcohol imported in old world ports from faraway
islands. 'Ratafia' as it was then known was not
considered to be of great value by the corsairs,
but its apparent roughness hid great secrets.

Paul Bardinet managed to bring out the latent,
incomparable tastes and aromas that sugar cane
still gives us today to produce our exquisite
rums.
Having become an expert spirits trader, Paul Bardinet
created the emblematic 'Negrita' brand, which
is now sold all over the world.
